Thank You all. I am going to pull the boat today and asses. I agree it has to be something in my process. I am thinking of sanding the hull down again, maybe to primer then cpes then apply the paint. or do you think simple abrasion and thinner wipe down would be sufficient? It looks like there are s...

Pettit 1959 and Sea Skiff hull issues

Good Morning everyone, I hope I can get some help. I have been using Frolic for 3 years and have been fighting a nasty issue with the 1959 not adhering well to the hull. I have Interlx 2000E on the bottom as suggested in Don D's book. I have recently installed a mooring and have used the boat twice....

Hello, and congratulations on you new project! Seats, if they are leather I have luck with Connolly Leather care. You could try the product you have on a small under piece to see if it gives good results. I am not sure if they are leather but maybe a Naugahyde substitute. If they are not leather I c...

Prop size. Wheel no 504

Hello all,
I am looking to replace my original prop. Can anyone tell me the size? I think it is a 12x12x1 but not sure. This goes to a 1957 22' open Se Skiff with a model K engine. Any suggestions on what would work well????
Thank you in advance.

Shaft length 45", one in the boat 51 3/8" hence the extreme height. Don't know about transmission size. Having shaft re-cut. Thanks for the views.

You can use stove rope also lathered up with permatext, I believe Don D uses this method. The stove rope is used in putting heating stoves together and can take some punishment and is pretty inexpensive to purchase.

Size battery and brand for a model k 12 volt 95 hp

Hello all, can someone tell me the size battery needed for a 95 hp 12 volt model k and possible brand? This is for a 22' sea skiff so it is basically a starter motor with no gensets. Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone have a Napa Spark Plug wire set number or Napa universal wire set number that I can order a set from my Napa store? It is for a model k engine (1957).

Found this this morning on ebay. I think I see regular pine in the construction. Looks like it had some potential for a restore.

1957 Sea Skiff fit up question

Hello all, I am starting to fit my Sea Skiff up for next season. My question is about the rudder log and if you use 5200 on it? It appears there was nothing on it from the factory. Does anyone bed these and if so do you use 5200 or 4200? It is below the waterline so I am thinking 5200 but what if yo...
