Don't take apart your boat too far, it may loose its shape. I'd put the original deck framing back in to make sure your top sides (hull sides) are not bellying (widening out beyond original dimensions). Then put some cross bracing from sheer on one side to the chine on the opposite side. And do the ...

I'm going with Hacker. My 1924 had that same screw cap vent and drum light. They had no lifting ring but had a pair of cast stringer hooks under the front floor boards.
