Re: Did CC offer a 283 for a 1957 15 ft cav ?
Has it ever been done ? Will a 283 fit in a 15 ft Cav. ? I have two hulls, A completed 57 with a Model A V15-xxx and a 55 15 ft Cav V15-467 project boat that just needs put back together with a rebuilt Model A 32056 engine. I think it was a Mr. B rebuild. Re: need more info before selling
So I got Zero post on plans to convert this 55 cav to a racer and have lost the zeal to do so. Now I need to get rid of it. I have an identical 57 Cav that I enjoy and have a V8 to go in it if I ever need to replace the Model A flat 4. I need more info on the 55 cav boat and motor to post it for sal...

converting a 15' cav utility to a fine gentleman racers
I just purchased a project boat that is in great shape. 1955 cav 15' utility V15-467 with a rebuilt Mr. B motor with zero hours. I have a restored 1957 cav V15-853 that I have enjoyed for 11 years. I bought the 55 mostly to have the motor as a spare but now have a clean hull with all the hardware. I...

"new" manifold for B

So where did the cast for the B engines manifolds end up and why has no one cast new ones ?? Too few 4cy vs ...

how to re-fiberglass bottom
I have a 1957 15 ‘ cc. cav. That has fiberglass over plywood bottom from the factory. The hull card confirms this. I am looking for someone who has done this restoration. Experience trumps opinions on this one. Need to know if I sand down to wood, treat with smith stuff, then re-fiberglass. Or, just...

I have a 57 CC Cav 15' with fiberglass hull. The hull card had it hand written as a add. I would contact the Mariners Museum Library in Newport VA. For a small fee they will send you a copy of records your your boat.

info on model A engine
I am looking to rebuild my Model A engine (SN 32310)and would like to know who made it and where. The hull number is V15 853. 1957 15' Utility. Are all parts still avaiable and what are the pit falls? The engine broke down fairly clean with no rusted parts on the inside. Thanks for your input!
