locate a new temperature sensor for KBL

I need a new temperature sensor for my 1956 Capri KBL engine. Mine is electric. I need the part that screws in to the engine head. Where can I find one?

Re: KBL carbs won't idle

Thanks. Good idea. The idle passageways in the carbs are extremely small and I have cleaned them to death. Getting closer. Not sure that I don't have a vacuum leak somewhere. Exploring manifold gaskets now. Also discovered that accelerator pumps will stick as well as the main needle over the floats....

Re: KBL carbs won't idle

thanks for the thoughts James. Checked out the floats and all appear to be working properly. I haven't been able to keep her running at less than 1500 rpm so I haven't tried to synchronize the carbs yet.

Re: KBL carbs won't idle

Haven't been able to idle her down low enough to try to synchronize them yet. Have them all set at the same on the idle jet, 1 1/2 turns out and have tried 2 1/2 and 5 on the main jets without any luck.

KBL carbs won't idle

I have a '56 Capri with the KBL engine and 3 carbs. She will run at fast rpms but will not stay running when I try to get her to idle. Have rebuilt the fuel pump and cleaned the carbs. She acts like she is not getting enough fuel when I cut her back. Any ideas? Thanks, JohnB

Does anyone know where one may order a new cover for a 1956 Chris Craft Capri, 19 ft? My original is about shot.
