Seasport 16

G'day from Sunny Tasmania, Thought I had better show you pictures of my own boat, a Seasport 16 that I purchased in Auburn NY in 2008. It was found in a pretty sad state, well, actually didn't look that bad, until I removed the wet carpet, and found it necessary to totally remove the wood. The Carpe...

Well, my information arrived today, and my vessel is now a 1974 model, but still having trouble figuring out the colour, as all the information says it should be two-tone, with the main hull colour as white, but mine is Mustard, single colour, with no boot-topping, and an OMC Stern Drive. The inform...

I went to the Sydney Boat Show in 2005, and was surprised to see Chris Craft in attendance, and even more surprised at the prices. The ones I see have all had the Chris Craft name and Gull Wing moniker up front, and mine is down the back, plus, mine is not White.

The plot thickens.

That is some good news, and I can't wait, but I will have to, for the Museum to get back to me.

From the info on that page, mine would be one of the last few built.

G'day Chad,

Thanks for the reply.

I have just sent in for the Hull Info, and we will see what eventuates.

I believe that my vessel could be the only one of its' type here in Australia.

Seasport 16 Gull Wing questions

G'day all, I am the lucky owner of a 1972 Chris Craft Seasport 16 Gull Wing, and am trying to find out where it was built, and anything else there is to know about these Seasport 16's. On the Starboard side of the Transom, moulded in the Fibreglass is ORCZ 16 2114V. On the Port side of the Transom o...

G'day Andreas, Thanks for that info, and I was aware of the history and I have totally rebuilt the interior of mine, removing all the rotten timber (Plywood) that was rotten and full of Carpenter Ants when I purchased it in 2008 in NY. Were these boars built in NY, or Florida (which I was told)? I h...

G'day all, I realise that this thread is rather old, but still VERY informative, and I have one question. How much heavy weather (seas) are the 1972 Seasport 16's designed to take? My Gullwing with its' 155HP OMC Stern Drive had been put through some pretty heavy short waves, in as much as the bow i...
