Re: 1971 XK22 control box shifter
Is this the controller you are looking for? I don't have the lever but I do see them on ebay every so often. Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Re: Reopening timeline
When I emailed the museum in January 2018, I was advised they may have access to the hull cards by June 2018.

Re: Stern Pole Light Fixture/Lens Help??
Do you still have that plastic lens to the stern light pole that came with your '47 cc? I'm looking for one for my cc. Thank you.

Lancer 23' Offshore attributes
I have a 1971 Lancer 23' Offshore (transdrive) being delivered in a few weeks. Except for the stripes painted on the decking, is there anything different between the Lancer 23' and the Lancer 23' Offshore? Also, in looking at the Essential Guide, there appears to be a difference in weight. Does anyo...

Re: Early Glass CC Runabout
I have a 1972 XK-19 for sale on ebay right now. It appears to be mostly original, including the original engine. Let me know if you want more information.

Re: 1971 xk19 steering wheel and speedometer
Most of the gauges on my '72 xk19, including the speedometer, are Stewart Warner (SW) gauges which include a "blue dot" design (shown below). Two other gauges are also SW but are different designs (blue line and chrome). If, at the time of xk19 manufacture, all the gauges are the same design, I woul...

Re: Picture of hinges on '70 XK19
I know this discussion took place some time ago; however, for the benefit of any others who search this topic, I recently purchased a '72 XK-19 and from what I could determine, the hatch hinges are from 1966-69 (plus or minus a year or two) Ford Fairlane, Ranchero, Torino, Comet, and Falcon.

Re: Trailer bunk adjustment
As to your second question, I recently had a 19' CC transported from IL to CA on a flatbed truck using shrink wrap as a travel cover. The dealer in IL did the wrapping and it held up well. I had read about concerns about wrap coming loose and damaging the hull (my CC is a fiberglass XK19 - I don't k...

'31 Commander Sports Express..... Finally
After what seems like years of sitting on the sidelines/dock, not including a brief stint with a '48 17' "project," which is now in someone else's garage (sigh of relief), I happily took possession of the last boat I will ever buy (for now). It is a '74 Commander 31', with the optional flybridge, di...

I just obtained mine and it was very easy. After compiling all the information I had about the hull, engine, etc, I filled out this online form: http://marinersmuseum.org/library/forms/chris-craft-research-request-form and submitted it. A day or two later, I received a call asking for my credit card...

Thank you for the warm welcome. I've been lurking on here for the past year or so while searching for a project. Although I've owned quite a few fiberglass boats, this is my first wood boat. To that end, I'm sure I will be asking alot of questions. I don't take delivery until this Wednesday but here...
