Price at $156 is right but it's the wrong wheel.

Re: CHRYSLER ROYAL ENGINE stalling more frequently
I have had the same problem in the past with the intermittent contact of the key switch on the old Clum switches. The problem with these is that the insulated back of the switch, which contains the switch contacts, is made of many layers of paper. Pressure on this back from the rotating spring-loade...

Re: Fuel line size 3/8" to 5/16" for electric fuel pump
Reducing the I.D. of the fuel line from 3/8" to 5/16" decreases the cross sectional area by 31%. That's quite a big difference in fuel flow capacity even though it's only 1/16" smaller.

Don't recognize this gas cap. It's NOT Chris-Craft, Dodge, Gar Wood or Hacker.

Re: Need a windshield frame
The $5K listing that was described as windshield brackets for "post-war" utilities" is much more than brackets. It is a complete windshield frame. Try making one.

Re: continental steering wheel
This wheel was also used on Chrysler, Dodge and De Soto in the early '50s, but with a different center cap. The Chrysler Corp. part numbers (cast into each part on the back side) are as follows: wheel #1330994, horn ring #1326682 and Plymouth cap #1551642. Using these numbers, I have found these par...

Re: deck mounted horns
I should have said "my former boat". Dana Mecum bought it in 2010. Owned it for 32 years. I had a lot of fun with it and won a lot of trophies.

Check your "Essential Guide". They were factory installed on my 1940 27' Racing Runabout (shown in the header above) as well as a number of other pre-war runabout and utility models.

I make reproductions of the horn mounting base (you can see them in the header photo above), but I agree with Greg. Are you sure you want to do this?

Re: ford flathead running..Argentine rundabout
That's true, but I have a number caller IDs listed and I'm reluctant to call people on a fishing expedition. Was it the call from Idaho or Texas or Oregon or? Or was it a private number? Good thought, though. As long as the Argentine runabout guy has all the marine conversion parts, it shouldn't be ...

Re: ford flathead running..Argentine rundabout
Someone called me a few days ago offering a flat head Ford marine engine for sale. I wasn't interested and I didn't take down any information. So there is one out there somewhere, but how would you ever find it?

Banjo steering wheel
That's not a horn ring on the wheel. It's a decorative trim ring. The horn button is still in the center of the throttle lever. That style wheel was used on '40 or '41 Chevys. Chris-Craft probably used whatever was available right after the war.

Am I reading the name on the transom of the U-22 correctly? HER'S (instead of HERS)? Spent the money for the lettering and it's spelled wrong? Ouch!
