I have a 17ft. Sportsman Utility that I kept in the water for about 3 weeks & experienced lots of moisture on almost everything. KFL oil capacity

I just bought a 1956 Sportsman with a 131hp. KFL. I am changing the oil and had heard that it would take anywhere from 5 to 9 quarts, so I put in 5 and the dipstick says it is well above full.
