Re: Original Stem/Gripe not seated in frame
OK sounds good. I will also check my heights of the chine and the keel/gripe again although I don't think they have moved. The original screws were in the very lower part of the gripe. Thanks for all your help. That's a nice piece of work in the pic you sent. I'm in Wisconsin by the way.

Re: Original Stem/Gripe not seated in frame
Ya it looks like the pics are too large. I email admin and they pretty much concur. Working on downsizing and will send when I figure out how. Since I downloaded off my iPhone it's a bit more complicated. Off to Colorado for a few days. Thanks for being patient.

OK so this should work. If not maybe the files are too big at 2.2MB?

Original Stem/Gripe not seated in frame
I am rebuilding a 57 Capri and noticed that the Stem and Gripe is not fully seated in frames 1/2 and 1. I cam making a new stem and gripe and keel. I am concerned that if I fully seat these parts in the frames the overall sheer and hull shape may be compromised. Any ideas on whether I should rebuild...

Paint type and color for frames
Does anyone know the paint color and paint type for frames on '57 Capri? Looks like the original is red. All I can find is bilge paint in white or gray. Thanks!
