Re: 1939 19ft CC barrel

Hi all

I'm alive and well lurking in the background. Everyone's on the right track.

I made a DVD of how the original interiors were made. Wonder if we could get the club to host it so that all could watch.

Best regards and Happy New Year!

Re: Barrelback dashboard stain

I have all the proof you want. the answer is all walnut stain. Now that I'm no longer on the board I am free to express. this subject has been covered many times. It has been seen many times on original dash panels that a walnut overstain was applied to the dash rather haphazardly to boot. I could s...

Barrel Back DOT COM is back up!

All;

After many years of being down www.barrelback.com is now back up thanks to Matt Byrne.

It can be a great resource for anyone interested in Barrel Backs. Some of the info is out dated and I will work to bring it up to today's knowledge base.

Best regards

Re: managing drafts

Keith;

I think we have to take a look inside the Admin panel to see what the setting are. I'm on other forums and they have auto-save features. I will admit it takes some time just to figure out where things actually go.

Matt Byrne, you have any ideas on this?

Thanks

Al; You are a gentleman for sure. I assure everyone that no one has put in more consistent time into the CCABC than Al over the last 3-4 years. Al is the guy behind the membership curtain and makes the day to day operations possible. It's been a pleasure serving with him. I feel like I've been away ...

Mine showed up in Southern California today. Some may think the cover is photoshopped, but trust me, it is not! Hey Brian, just curious about your statement. What about the photo would make you think of that? Position of the boats? I liked the interesting angle of the boats so went with that pic. v...

Glad it helped Dave.

Ask for Gary and use my name. They know me and the old boats well. Remind him of the double cover with the inner flannel type material. I'm sure it is available if they give you the proper name.

Re: 2014 Election of Directors

Doug. I respectfully ask that you allow a reasonable amount of time for Jim and others to respond. How quickly we forget that the Club operated for nearly 40 years without ANY kind of membership election. Last year was our first and I am personally proud that we got this function of the Board going....

Re: Boat covers

Thanks. Here is the easy way. Orange button at the top takes you to main page www.chris-craft.org and log in. Then go to Membership Services at the top. A drop down will show Past Brass Bell's. Click on that. Then go to Winter 2009, page 16

Enjoy

Do you need exactly that block number for originality reasons? There are a number of 2 bolt 327 and 350 block numbers that should be interchangeable. http://www.nastyz28.com/sbchevy/sblock.html Also, I think you need to tell us what you are putting it in and post some pictures. I'm hoping you have a block casting that ends in 870. Then look on the other side for the actual casting date.
Example A- 10-4 = Jan 10th 1964 etc
