My screw collar looks different from yours. It has only one hole. I think that is part of the problem. The transmission is on a K engine. Thanks again for your help

1xe Transmission issue

Hello, about 4 yrs ago I had my transmission rebuilt that included new clutch disks and bearings. After about 250 hours of service it started to slip. I adjusted it one notch and it no longer slips but now I have a new problem. It is extremely difficult to get it out of gear(it requires two arms to ...

is and how to prevent it in the future. Thanks in advance

oil line fitting size

oil fitting 1.jpg
Hello, Does anyone happen to know what size this fitting is? The reason I am asking is I am trying to attach an oil pressure test gauge and 1/4 npt and also 1/4 flare doesnt fit along with compression. Its the oil line tee off of an M series block. Thanks in advance

Re: Oil pressure drop

Perhaps another thing to check would be water leaking into the oil cooler and making it too thin??

Re: KLC Oil Cooler Bypass

There are others on this site who have way more knowledge than me, but I would say you should be ok. The oil does not get that hot that fast.

Re: oil leak

OK thanks for the advice. There is no "this side up" on my replacement gasket. There is however one side that is smooth and the other side has ridges around the cylinder bore holes. I assume that the side with the ridges faces down and the smooth side is up?? I know assume can be a dangerous word so...

Re: oil leak

ok, will do. Hopefully its just the gasket. I was told the motor is low time and it hadn't been used in awhile so maybe its from sitting??? Also is there anything i should coat the gasket with or just install it dry. Thanks in advance.

oil leak

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what is causing oil to pool on the top of the cylinder head nuts?? I checked the torque on them and they are at 65 pounds.

K Valve Seat

Hello, I have a post war model K with worn valve guides. The compression on all cylinders is good and the rest of the motor seams to be ok. I've done some research on the forum and it appears to be of universal consent that new exhaust valves with a 45 degree seat insert cut into the head is a given...

paragon 1XE output flange

Hello all: I am having difficult in removing the flange from the above transmission. So far I have removed the big nut on the end of it and put a puller on it but it doesn't seem to want to come all of the way out. Also the shaft is keyed. Am I missing something or do I just need to apply more press...
