What clearance should I have between the aft end of my 11 x 12 prop hub and the strut along the 1" shaft?

What clearance should I have between the forward end of my 11 x 12 prop hub and the aft end of the strut along the !" shaft?

I want to install the state of the art packing on my 1" shaft. I don't have the space between the shaft log and shaft coupling to install the PSS shaft seal ( graphite rings ). I am aware of the GFO fiber packing. Does anybody know of other alternatives?
