Re: ski pole for 327F

I’m having no trouble finding info on the flywheel forward version 327Q, not so much for the 327F though.

ski pole for 327F

Does anyone have drawings/pics or details of how the ski tow mounted to the 327F?

Re: HF-7 pink milk

I hate to revive a dead thread, but I believe I’ve found what my gear/drive problem is, after breaking down yesterday and requiring a tow back to shore. We were cruising along at about 20mph when out of nowhere, the boat fell flat on its face and stopped, all the while the engine still maintaining r...

Re: 327F possible wrong dipstick?

Thanks for all the pics, I'll measure it later, but it seems to match. Mine just appears to have the handle broken off, which may explain over filling... not pushing it into the tube far enough.

I have a Chris Craft 327 that I will be removing as it is not correct for that boat (not even close!). I can measure the dipstick tomorrow and let you know the length from the stop on the stick to the end.
That would be great, thanks! I’ve been wondering about this for a long time.

327F possible wrong dipstick?

If overfilled, will a 327F weep oil from somewhere? If I fill to the full line on the stick, I get oil in the bilge. It stops leaking somewhere just before the low line. Boat runs fine otherwise, oil pressure good, no more leaking after cleaning up the initial mess... The dipstick seems like it is m...

Re: HF-7 pink milk

The boat is a 64 Super Sport/327F. As long as we kept the throttle below a certain RPM, the boat would move along at around 9-10mph(speed according to fish-finder) Anything over that and the transmission would completely disengage and squeal. Reverse worked ok for backing off trailer but we didn’t m...

Re: HF-7 pink milk

Thanks for the suggestions, I suppose this weekend I will try warming the box with a heat gun and flushing out some more. Will also take out the oil cooler and check for leaks. What worries me is there doesn't seem to be a way to check for damage/repair needs without putting back in the water... unl...

HF-7 pink milk

Last weekend we decided to take the boat out one last time before putting it away for the winter. Everything seemed normal, reverse worked fine for pulling away from trailer/dock, but when we left the no-wake zone and applied more throttle (about 10mph), the paragon would slip and whine until I quic...

Water Pump question

I'll start from the beginning - last year the boat sucked the rv antifreeze out of the bucket on the driveway fine while winterizing. When starting it up this year I noticed no water drawing from the bucket via fake-a-lake. I promptly shut the engine down, removed the water pump and found a broken v...

Re: 327F oil sender removal

After looking at it again tonight, I think it would be easy to remove the sender if I could take off the part that is in the way, what i’ve determined to be a piece of the crankcase ventilator as shown in the drawing as item 3. Can’t find much info on this- Does anyone know how this removes? 9B4C093...

327F oil sender removal

I suspect that my oil pressure sender may be bad, the gauge showed idle at about 20psi a few weeks ago butthe last two times I've briefly started her up, I get zero gauge reading. I tested the gauge by grounding the signal wire and the needle moves as it should. If I do end up trying to replace the ...

proper front lift ring removal

IMG_1417.JPG I need to remove the front ring to replace the rotted center planking. Is there a proper method for this? It looks like I could unscrew from the top by inserting a prybar or something in the ring. It also looks like I could undo the nut on the bilge end. Don't want to over torque somet...
