Re: Setting Up Bunks On a New Trailer

Mark,

My bunks are close but I want to make sure "If" my hull is warped at all, that I can try to correct it as mush as possible by setting them up where the factory shape exactly was.

Does anyone have plans for the 18' Riviera ? I don't think the mariners museum does.

Setting Up Bunks On a New Trailer

I recently purchased a new trailer and need to adjust some of the bunks to fully support my 18' Riviera hull. My question is: In case I have slight warping in the hull, I want to make sure my new trailer bunks are set right where they need to be. What's the best way to go about this to ensure the tr...

Re: 18' Riviera

My hull is #199, I was just curious if I was close to the 1950 cut off, its hard to believe they were building over 300 Riviera's a year.

I'm still waiting for the Mariners Museum to get the hull card.

Re: Paragon Manual Gearbox HP rating

When we use this transmission on engines of higher power than the original 185 hp we add an extra steel and bronze plate. This increases the surface area making it less likely to slip and reduces the shifting effort to put the transmission in gear. Anyone interested in our technique please feel fre...

Paragon Manual Gearbox HP rating

I was curious if anyone knows what the Paragon manual gear box is rated for HP wise ? Typically mated up behind a 283, I'm told they are pretty bullet proof but was wondering what HP they would hold or is the week link with this setup, it's matting to the crankshaft via a key way ? https://i.imgur.c...

Mercruiser 5.7L Competition Ski Powertrain

I was wondering how hard it would be to shoe horn a Mercruiser 5.7L Competition ski powertrain into a 18' Riviera :D ?

Here is a 21' Cobra with the same setup.

18' Riviera

I recently purchased a 18' Riviera and wanted to get opinions of what my future plans should be for the boat. It's current condition is as follows: - Old gas that needs to be drained - Complete boat, interior and exterior - Its been glassed up to the water line - "F" engine mount & Paragon transmiss...
