Re: "Raybelle" colored linoleum
that's the stuff. Very cool!!! So……Don  , who is going to convince Seth Katz to give up a nice 12x12 sample (from under the seat, maybe, hmmm…) so there is a "real" sample for 'the club' to provide as a resource to 'the group' that gets the material remanufactured? I want to be a member of tha...

NOT A TECHNICAL QUESTION
(this is in the wrong forum, but I'm not allowed to post in the correct one) Whose decision was it to give us access to all those 'hawt' babes at the bottom of the images pages? Seems somewhat unnecessary to me; I've always been able to find my own, with no help from my 'club'. Not to mention they'r...

...But for the beginner the best advice I can offer when docking is DON"T TOUCH THE THROTTLE. Take your time, if you have to do it over, do it over. I really agree with Brians suggestion, especially if your prop has lots of pitch, remember how far the boat will move per prop revolution. In theory m...

Great story Ollon! Good family memories. Unfortunately, all of the logistics are against you. Still, I would say that you should restore it (how hard could it be, right? ;-) Don is right; you should expect that Everything will have to be done.... Several wood boat restorers in our area perfer www.systemthree.com S1 wood sealer, as it is less volatile odour wise. Not sure if it would suit you better however, the website includes a full spec sheet regarding health issues. I am trying to decide what to use on my project this winter as well. :w...

Since I have become somewhat infamous for not knowing when to stop; I'm sending a bundle of old Perlita Too planks to Diederick to create something akin to this "GMC" piece he did of his own truck..... John, if you're looking for flattie dressup parts used, check the classified section of the HAMB. Lots of flattie hotrod guys around. +1 on the HAMB recommendation, and while you're there check out the monster Cadillac flattie built for Bonneville! Radical sounds! Wish my Scripps sounded like that....

There's tons of them in Northern California. Define "tons"........! Only 17 listed in the ACBS directory, probably fewer than 2x that remaining. The only boat the Furth family retained, out of 80+ in the collection, a 27' triple-cockpit. James if each boat weighed 2,000 lbs....would not that be ton...

Classic Boating did a story with photos on Don Philbrick many years ago. He was from California. If I remember, he claimed to have the found the formula for spraying poly clear coat finishes - several coats per day. Correct; Oakland CA. And yes, he did have a "secret" method of spraying LP clear; w...

Casey, sorry about your dilemma. Shoot an email to the head guy, Joe Martell. He will mail you a Constellation Club patch and a tube of silicon caulk for the gaps in your bottom planks. jmartell@suckyclub.com Hell, I could never even get an "I Don't Care How They Do It at Tahoe" t-shirt from the guy!

Don, just as a healthy suggestion for Trading Dock as well, I would increase the font size. I have perfect vision thanks to Lasik and I still have to squint to read the ads. Either that or the color scheme could also be improved for better contrast. It is just very hard to read. Jeff + 1000 on font...
