Ha, James. Sometimes I post 'em as I get 'em. Sometimes, I anally adjust horizons to level. And yes, sometimes I have been known to push things totally off of level for composition, or to better fill a Bell cover.
You caught me on this one.

Boat Buzz Will Be Down for Maintentance in 20 Minutes
I need to take care of some routine server maintenance on the Boat Buzz server. I will do this in about 20 minutes. Buzz will be down only for about 5-10 minutes.

David, as with all things there is more than one side to every story. I told everyone in a prior post that I had just moved an entire office. I told you I would post the returns when I can lay my hands on them. Please give me a chance and respect that. Better yet, give me a call. I am more than will...

Frank, thank you. A registered member here on Boat Buzz refers to paying members and some complimentary situations where we offer just Boat Buzz access. One such example is that we offer Boat Buzz access to a group of students at McPherson College who are part of a vintage motor vehicle restoration ...

Spring and Summer Brass Bells
Avid participants on Boat Buzz will have read in depth about the challenges that we are facing with Brass Bell production. I will be sending an email out as soon as I can to all Club membership about getting the Bells back on track. recent events have pulled me off of that, as I have had to tend to ...

Spring and Summer Brass Bells
Given the recent events here, I am falling behind on all tasks that I thought I would be handling this weekend, namely getting an email out to all club members announcing the Summer Brass Bell. The Spring issue is printed, and the Summer issue is at the printer now. I am now moving forward with the ...

I also mentioned a Bob Speltz Antique & Classic Boat Society, Inc. presentation above. I am posting a link to this presentation here, as it has a bit of information about our history, our growth, etc. There is also a specific example cited in this presentation about a question posed by a non member ...

Hopatcong Buddy, yes there is more. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Another example that I will show this morning, now that I have gotten a bit of sleep is the type of effort that goes into researching grants, building bridges to other organizations which offer such grants and then following th...

2011 Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club Financial Documentation
All members: If you have been attentive on Boat Buzz over the last several months, you know that we have been going through some tough times. The positive discussion turned into negative banter by just a few of our members. I cannot express how this has felt to be on the receiving end of these comme...

David: I will follow your advice. I have recently moved our club office. I need to find that file and when I do I will scan the 990s and post. Until then, I am concentrating this weekend on getting an email out to all of you with a link to download the Spring and Summer issues. Spring is printed and...

Again, I need to absorb this all. I certainly knew that Terry's letter was coming. Gary, we do talk and have considerable respect for each other. AS for Brian? He is an awesome individual...the most knowledgable I have ever met within this niche, and a good friend. As for Don Ayers? Our relationship...

I have been reading this thread continuously, and have been agonizing over how to respond. Much of what is presented here is good banter. I am, of course, just fine with all of that. I do feel we have collected enough information to take to our other club officers and to make a definitive decision. ...

Al, you are recalling right, in fact we could probably find some early discussions here on Boat Buzz where we wrestled over this exact issue. Aside from being protective of what is "ours" as members, I guess we have to take a broader look at what we are doing that has a positive impact on the hobby....

Al, in light of all of the discussion about putting all topics on lock down, I tested this this morning by making all Boat Buzz categories visible, but the actual topics hidden unless a user logs in. This had the unforeseen effect of breaking the topic posts feature on our home page and on Woodyboat...

Or the often seen Christ-Craft. Ha. Well, you may notice that the Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club does not use any form of the Chris-Craft logo, as such. We use an element that is derivative, the two flying Martlets which were one single element of the pre war crest. The tip font that we use for the C...

John, I do, but I worked with Chris-Craft directly to allow us to produce what we have. In other words, we have been authorized by Chris-Craft to sue the logo for our specific needs. The pre war Chris-Craft logo is an asset of Chris-Craft Corporation. You might want to think twice, as they could ste...

Matt, this is good input followed by a good question. I don't think we can necessarily tie this Brass Bell poll directly back to the other poll about dues value. I am merely trying to gauge where everyone is at in their wants. There is no question that doing more cannot cost less. There are multiple...

I will respond quickly (??) here, with a more in-depth response this evening. 1. The Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club is a 501(c)(3) organization. Nothing has changed on this status for many years,. 2. The Club does have a board of directors. Modifications to this board are being made at this time. 3. ...

Non-members can view Boat Buzz posts, but they cannot respond, nor can they post new topics. This is a privilege of membership. As for the Hull Registry, non-members can view boat info—this helps grow interest via education. A non-member cannot, however, see anything relating to who owns the boat, w...

Jim and John, I suspect you both speak the truth here. Based on the responses I receive daily via other means, I know how appreciated the printed Bell is. See my last post on this three just this morning.
