the boat in donovan's reef is a 54 or latter chris craft 17' sportsman. It's the CC-17 hull series.

What sold me was the steering system most you see have the cable wrapped around a spool this one is basically a rack and pinion style set up. I have a picture of the boat from one of the previous owners and he was running 2 chris 5 1/2 horse motors.

Here are a couple of pictures of a 283M. What I call the detuned 283. 2 barrel intake and carb to lower the horsepower everything else with the engine is the same as the 185 hp engine.
