Let me know when you are going to the Queen city induction. I am a member and would like to meet you. I can also show you my 1940 42ft DCEB "TABU" which is moored at Queen City.

Re: Guadalupe
If you haven't already you should read Jeffery Rodengen's book, "The Legend of Chris Craft" and Anthony Mollica Jr. & Chris Smith's book, "Building Chris Craft: Inside The Factories". Both of these books contain a lot of the information you're talking about. "Chris Craft Boats" by Anthony Mollica Jr., Jack Savage & Chris Smith is another good source of information. Also Anthony Mollica's book on "Gar Wood" contains further insight because of the inextricably intertwined history of these two companies. Some of these are Out of Stock but can still be found via Amazon or eBay.
Another good series of very readable books of nautical interest is the "Foundation Franklin" set by Farley Mowat. His own restoration/ownership experience is chronicled in "The Boat That Wouldn't Float" and is highly entertaining.
