Laclede, according to conrad, there was no 43 footer. there was a 46 ft, dced, in 1946, a 40 footer that year also. no other 1946s in the 40-50' range.

Sounds interesting...but....I would take anyone with a grain of salt that ever say "pristine" when describing the boat. What is pristine to one is not to others.....so it could be a big let down if you fly out here. Ive seen a bunch of these "old" guys out here that have spent big money on the "pristine" that they have....and I just have to shake my head because they are usually just butchered jobs.

Ive also never heard of a 43 footer.

I have heard that some measurements for length were taken along the gunwale, there by adding a foot or two. :roll:

That's a prewar hull with prewar vents and windshields. Might have been in production at the start of WW two and finished and sold post war. Looks like your sister ship.

I believe its a pre war also...doesn't look like a 1946 to me.

Laclede, The folks with places on Lakes Lanier, Rabun, etc are more likely to have vacation homes on Park Ave in NYC than in a swamp. <G> Best, Jeff
