Hi,
I am removing all gauges and switches from a 1951 U22 as part of my restoration process. The last two items to remove are the "T" handle choke and the temperature gauge. I found a post that states to remove the choke I need to remove the entire T handle and cable assembly. I assume that I just pull it all back through the dash? Is this the same for the temperature gauge? The temp gauge has a nut holding the the cable in place on the back of the gauge but when I loosened it, it appears to me internally connected to the face plate and mech assemble. Should I pull the entire gauge and assembly through the dash like the choke?
Thank you,
Eric

That's a sealed copper capillary tube to the temp gauge. You do not want to kink or break it. Remove the gauge and attached capillary tube together.

Pry the staples against what they are in don't pry on the tube.
