Beautiful restoration and photos. Memorable days like that make it all worth while. I'm sure Miss Dot would be pleased.

When I had the official launch for Miss Dot it was on the Edisto, the place where my brothers and I grew up but at that time there was not enough water in the river to actually run it. At the end of that summer I crashed Miss Dot loading her on to the trailer after another event and didn't get her fixed until the 2016 Sunnyland show.
Then after the Sunnyland show I pull the engine, which turned out to be bad news and had to be replaced. Finally by the end of July I had the new "VanNess built" Gray Marine model 620 engine in and was able to salvage what little of the summer was left.

These pics are from my late summer run, where I was finally able to run Miss Dot for the first time on the ever so beautiful Edisto River.

A little update on Miss Dot, this past weekend I took her to the Lake Hartwell show, if you haven't been to the Hartwell show you are missing a great venue, the Blue Ridge guys and gals are doing amazing things with this show. I'm happy to say that Miss Dot won her first show, best runabout, and I was pleasantly surprised.
It is just one more thing that makes all the hard work worth while.
