Winterizing? Summerizing? Covering? Trailering? If it is about a boat out of water put it here.

bunk covers

Is there a better cover for "bunks" than carpeting? Seems like the carpeting hold water for a long time and would tend to keep the hull wet and therefore promote rot. Any ideas?

I use indoor/outdoor, the plastic type is the best description I can give. It does not sponge up water. On the downside, it is slick. Launched my jet by hitting the brakes at the ramp. Boat slid off slicker than snot on a door knob. Trouble was, it was not resrtained...had to commandeer a dinghy to retrieve boat. Embarrassing. CQ

Most carpeting is nylon and dries on your trip home from the boat ramp
