Fuel tank measurements

Post by Katanna » Wed Aug 02, 2017 3:25 pm

Has anyone had a fuel tank made for a 1962 Holiday 20 or Supersport. The boat I am restoring has had the fuel tank replaced with a rectangular one. I would like to have a new one made by Kherig Manufacturing however I don't have any dimensions of the original. If I had the diameter and and length I could come up with the fill tube location measurement.

I've done one in a 1967 20' super sport. Its a pretty tight fit. If you think its the same. let me know and I can send you a copy of the drawing.

I had one made at Kehrig for my '69 19' Commander SS. I still have the original tank if you think the dimensions are the same. You are more than welcome to it.

Jim I have to believe that would be the same tank. I would appreciate the drawings. I could measure to fit off that. It should be the round barrel type.
Thanks in advance,

Steve

Ordered new tank today from Kehrig Manufacturing. They are also making the hold down straps that were missing.

Gotta love the Boat Buzz, a treasure trove of information! 8)
Boats are to be made of wood, otherwise, God would have grown fiberglass trees.

Tank issues solved. Picked up my new tank and straps yesterday. They did a great job!
