Notice to Dealer form questions

Post by cuckter » Fri Jul 11, 2014 10:00 am

I have a few questions about "Notice to Dealers" form that came with each new Chris Craft. What was the form number in the 1950s and where was the form place upon arrival at the dealers. I have seen copies of this form fixed to the inside of the motor cover (dog house) on a 1952 Sportsman. Was this the original location? Also, one copy I seen listed this as Form number 535. Is this correct? Someone on E Bay is asking $150.00 for a "original" Notice to Dealer. Any help to clarify these issues would be greatly appreciated. I have a copy of this form and would like to attach to my C.C. if this was originally used by Chris Craft Corp. Thanks for any help.

Don at McCall Marine was selling these last year.
They are usually stapled/tacked on the interior of the engine box on a utility.

A dog house is usually on the aft deck over the aft cabin and acts as extended head room and a light well.

I googled "Notice to dealer" a few years ago, and it popped up. Try that first. It does go in the engine compartment. Mine says form 325. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the clarification about the "dog house" vs. motor cover. Also, thanks for the info. I will attach it to the inside of the motor cover on my 1954 Chris Craft Sportsman.
