New Forum Idea

Post by Mark Christensen » Tue Feb 14, 2012 10:28 am

Maybe we should have a forum for "rideshares." People going to and from places that are willing to haul things for people. Also people looking to have things hauled? This could be nice.

I like it too. IF I drive to Tavares/dora....and I may yet deal with the mouseketeers and fly to orlando....but IF I drive....my small pickup will be mostly empty from Richmond Va. down.

Sounds like it could make getting a part/boat/engine easier for people. I'm for it.

I don't think you would need any extra insurance, if it was being done as a favor. If you were being paid you might have to get insurance, especially if you were dragging someones trailer.

Oh yeah, pic! Chris Craft Club, this is Henry. Henry loves to haul.

The sticky would be ok, but I think it would be hard to realize when people were posting new trips to it. I imagine adding a new topic is a pain though. Although I'd be the perfect moderator........

Sorry Mark.....maybe I should have said " looks more like a FIAT......." to me.
But I didn't want to be cruel.......

C'mon Mark. Blue Oval=Ford. Horace, as in Horace Dodge. Speaking of which, I hope to be going to visit a very early 22.5 Dodge this weekend, powered by a factory OX-5. Woot.

I was fortunate enough to visit a 1926 Indian Lake Dart with the original factory Capitol Curtiss OX-5 last weekend. Lovely display or parade boat, but pretty hard to use i would think. Non or hand lubricated valve train? Wow....

How about a "classified" section that we could post things like ride share and small parts...The trading dock just seams abit expensive to post some parts on....and I have a feeling doesnt get the traffic like a section on the forum would have. I for one have a bunch of small parts that someone could probably use but I just dont post them in the trading dock.
