Aluminum Hull Corrosion Repair?

Post by 737flynfish » Tue May 27, 2014 12:58 pm

I have a 1962 Aluminum CC Roamer Silver Comet that has some corrosion on the hull. I have 2 questions.
1) What kind, or Brand of primer should I apply to the bare aluminum inside the hull to prevent corrosion, and on the outside prior to painting?
2) is there a 'Bondo' type of filler that I can apply to the outside of the hull to fill in small spots of corrosion, and dents prior to painting to get a smooth finish?

Couple of sources,
Metal Boat Society has some good articles. and
Roamer Owners http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/chris ... ssion-232/

I have a steel 25' so do not know much about aluminum

Adding:
Metal Boat Society has a TOPIC forum (have to register) there is a corrosion topic.
