Connie Deck Covering-White w/Blacks Stripe

Post by connie7653 » Tue Aug 26, 2014 9:58 am

Can anyone tell me where I can buy the old Vinyl Deck Covering material? It is vinyl and is white with black stripes made to look like narrow white planking. I believe it was called Nautolex? (maybe). I need to recover part of it on my decks as it has a tear/hole in some spots and the UV has got the best of some of it. 1962 32' Constellation

This material is the rarest animal out there. Several postings have been made over the last few years and sorry to say...I don't think any is available. :(

If I was redoing that type of deck, I'd look at the material that Boat Art is using on his Constellation . It's called Plasteek. I've never used it, but it looks great.

$50 bucks a sq.ft., material only, here in Canada, plus adhesive, etc. Fairly expensive

Yup..its not cheap, but $50/sf sounds like the price 'installed', including labor. Where are you located? It comes in many colors so the black/white is available.

I have a piece of Nautlex that you can have for shipping charges. It is 13.5' by 53.5" plus about 6' more 18' wide.
