managing drafts

Post by keith colonna » Mon Jan 12, 2015 11:09 am

I wrote a long message yesterday with one attachment. I did not send it and wanted to edit it today before I sent. So I hit the tab for saving it as a draft. Today, I went to my control panel to manage my drafts and it was not there. I hate to have to rewrite it...where can it be?
Thanks
Keith Colonna

Keith;

I think we have to take a look inside the Admin panel to see what the setting are. I'm on other forums and they have auto-save features. I will admit it takes some time just to figure out where things actually go.

Matt Byrne, you have any ideas on this?

Thanks

When you save a draft it informs you it will only save the subject and the message. Any other element will be removed. I suppose this means your attachment.

Go to your user control panel (located at the top of the page) and under the overview tab you will see Manage drafts. You should be able to see your draft.
Right under managing drafts there's a managing attachment. Maybe your attachment is there??

Hello Jim,
I did that....and there was no saved draft. I 'll have to start over..this time in a less intense narrative.
Thanks,
Keith

I've just discovered that only one photo is able to be attached. I tried to attach 3 and when I previewed it only showed one with a note: "recommended file" Is this a Forum limitation?

Best way to handle such situations is to write your post using a word processing program like Word, saved to your local computer. Then you have all the easy editing features of that program and you can take your time. When you are ready, just cut and paste your final, edited post into the forum submission site online and submit.

Hi Keith,
I was hoping it was there for you. I did a test and that's where my draft was. I did not try an attachment.
I like to do what homeiste suggested when it gets long. I don't know how many times I've lost my 2 cents for some reason or another.

Keith,
I'm certainly not the IT expert but you should be able to attach multiple images.
Upload attachment, browse, add the file, repeat.
Your computer needs more coffee.....
