How flat is the aft 6 - 7 foot section of the bottom? Any hook or hog to the bottom shape will affect ride and handling, maybe even causing it to ride bow down or an up and down motion (porpoising). That would seem like getting pounded as the boat climbs up on plane and then falls off over and over. Improper storage on a trailer can cause the bottom to take on a hog or hook.

Thanks, but boat has been in boathouse or on long-bunk trailer all its life, could see it if on a roller- or cross-bunk trailer, but yes it does "porpoise" after hitting a wake but settles down after wake's gone--maybe trim tabs to lower bow a little?

Nothing wrong with you ski boat. that is just how they ride!
I owned one for about 8 years.
the only time to run it was early in the morning when the water is flat!!!
Those boats will beat themselves to pieces if run in rough water.
If you look at the bottom it is dead flat on the running surface, makes a nice wake to ski behind.
The older Ski nautiques had the same problem.
There was a cartoon circulating of a guy running a kitchen table with an outboard attached, same ride!!
