How to refuel system after running out of fuel

Post by jeffrycook » Sat Aug 06, 2016 6:32 pm

I ran my 1952 Chris Craft Riviera with the KBL 131 HP engine out of fuel two nights ago. Before I realized that was the problem I took off the fuel bowl to check the screen and make sure it was clean. I have now filled the 15 gallon fuel tank. How do I get fuel back into the system so I can safely start the boat? Not too bright in Alaska even though the sun is shining nearly 24 hours a day!

The wire between the body and bowl is a manual primer. Work it a bit and the fuel will flow to the carbs.
