Lancer Interior

Post by craigjudge » Fri Aug 26, 2011 7:04 am

I'm nearly finished with the 75 Lancer rebuild. I tried to stay as close to original as possible but made a couple of "artistic variations" The lower toe boards in the cockpit were originally covered in a very heavy imitation teak vinyl. I found very similar material by 3m and have used it elsewhere in the project but the cost to do these boards was in excess of $400. That will happen next year at some point but for now I used the same pleated vinyl as the seats and upper pad were covered in. I think it's actually a bit more sport boat and a little less disco. Not original but a modern twist. Just wanted some opinions.

I got some wood grain vinyl stuff for my 1966 CC Corsair thru J C Whitney on-line. Not expensive and looks just like the original stuff.

I think it is designed for use on fake woody sided autos.
