Plans for a Sportsman 3rd seat

Post by 1953ccsportsman » Sun Oct 30, 2016 5:57 pm

I have a 1953 20' Special Sportsman. I saw where there was an optional 3rd seat (that sits in front of the engine compartment) available. Would anyone have a picture or hopefully plans for building one?

I am very interested if location and shipping is not prohibitive. Can you advise me on price, and send pictures. My email is [email protected]. I have a 20' so it should work

I have made many of the 2nd seats for 22-Us. I have the patterns for the wood and have the pipes for the seat back and pipes for the sockets that go into the cast sockets in the floor. I also have the cast sockets. The 20 is a bit different from the 22. It has a different angle of the seat back. It is more straight up and down due to clearance problems. I have the drawings from the MM showing this. In a 20 there is not a lot of room for the seat. PM me if you want to know more.
