Sea Skiff Flooring Advice

Post by Mark Christensen » Tue Jan 24, 2012 9:07 am

I am redoing the floors in my sea skiff this winter. What should I go with? I like the white and black vinyl floor, but can't find the product anywhere. Should I go with the teak vinyl floor? or does that look cheesy?

If you are looking for the white with black "seams", it is Nautalex and is carried by Classic Boat Connection.

They have it on onother page: http://www.classicboatconnection.com/wi ... 0pads_.pdf

Make sure you get plenty of glue, I ran out and used something else that didnt work quite as well. A heat gun also helps a ton with getting the Nautolex tight.

The floors in the pictures look pretty good by the way. This replacement Nautolex is close but the original flooring seams were a darker black. I guess it also could have been darker from 46 years of use.

That's good info that you can get Nautolex from Defender, but I'll add a link to the manufacturer, Omnova Solutions and their webpage for Nautolex.
