I am a new owner of a 1968 17' SS ski boat, and restoring it.
I would like to get a color photo of it, showing its original red upholstery interior and grey deck.
I would also like to see its steering wheel and a source for a correct replacement.
Lastly a source for the grey vinyl deck covering.
thank you

Hi,
The 1968 Chris Craft catalog has a picture of the SS Ski Boat (I have 2 catalogs) where you can see the colors, but a better example is sold on eBay right now. There is a guy selling production photos of many years of Chris Craft models. When getting on the "Chris Craft" site on eBay (more of these photos are on the Chris Craft site NOT in eBay motors, perhaps via Transportation, or Collectibles), type in 1968, and, after scrolling down the various models, you'll see this model. A very cool boat, and very few were made. You may be able to find the manufacturer of the vinyl, plus other information on stains and paints used when ordering your hull card via the Chris Craft Archives that are/were at the Mariners Museum in New Port News, VA. The last packet of info I received from them (a 1960 CC 17' Ski Boat), provided lots of information. Good Luck, Howard
