My brother and i bought a 22ft.1974 Chris Craft Dory Fisherman.
We would like to put the boat name on in original "Chris-Craft" font if such a font exist.
Anyone have any information on Chris Craft original name plate font?

If you are looking for the Chris Craft logo font, as much research as we have done, we cant find a font. True logos use unique fonts, especially back in the day. There are several evolutions of that logo on the post war font as well. With that said, that boat is around the 1970's and it would make sense to use a font designed back then. The real honest way to be authentic would be a hand painted font. Which back then would have been the process. I know, I know, this doesnt solve your issue. But if you are stuck on the font logo, you may have to hire a good lettering person to replicate it, and that will incure a design charge. AND, to add to this, if you do something CLOSE, it will look like a mistake. NOW! One other option is to look into what sort of font the Chris Craft dealer of the day that the boat was purchased may have used. We have done countless stories on this topic on WoodyBoater.

Can you post a picture of the boat? I'm curious if its the same style as the one I just recently sold.
