Tahoe Concours 2010
Any members going up to the Lake for the Show? Or even better, showing their boat this year? Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The Friday viewing includes a boat ride too. You have to take a ride on the "Thunder Chick", if she is out there. She is the little sister of the "Thunder Bird".

I will most likely be there with my freshly restored 1946 Gar Wood 22'6" Sedan, assuming that it gets done in time. I have never been and am looking forward to it. Might have the '48 25' Sportsman there as well, if it is done and I can get transport help.

It should be another great show, nearly 90 boats is at capacity this year, lots of new stuff. It's like Christmas for me.

Yes, Tahoe is always a great show. First class all the way. I am sorry that schedule conflicts preclude me from attending this year. Although there are lots of interesting new boats, and many of the great perennial favorites there, I would in particular very much like to see Paul Harrison's End of the Line, his '46 gar wood sedan. That should really be special, and just out of restoration!

Here is a neat new feature on the Concours website, for those of you that have not been to the show, this is a good way to see what it looks like.
This Vtour thing is a really cool piece of technology to play around with.

Beautifull day up at Lake Tahoe yesterday, not too much wind. It looked like less boats up there this year. But, the boats that were on display were worth the drive from Sacramento. Need to win the lottery for the Gar Wood for sale in the show room of Sierra Boat Works. Asking price for the boat is $550,000. There was a 1936 19' Chris for sale there for $42,000 and looked good. The better half even liked her and said buy it. Should have had her put that in writing.
