I know it doesn't float

The work on my Connie came in hand on this project. Old, Wood, Hard to find and Chrome. Classic Boat Connection provided the slotted screws, over 300 just for the box.

It doesn't have to float to be a beauty. A great example of that would be all the classic and antique boats out there yet to be restored.
I think anything old and made of wood is a beauty... including your recent project.

What i find so interesting is that we think of the past in muted colors and BW. Its restorations like this that show us that color did exist..Bright color. Like the boats.. Lime green, orange... And this Pepsi blue.. I love it...

Like I used to hear my grandfather say, "Young people these days think their generation invented sex!".

Pepsi Truck

Post by Take Time » Thu Aug 19, 2010 10:44 pm

This was a fun project. Our goal was to get her to last another 20 years without any major work. Back then when you ordered a Model A "C" cab, you got just the running gear. The box was built for its application, first a Milk truck then a Pepsi Truck. The metal supports for the box were hand hammered, old style stage coach work. Just thought I had to share with the crew.
