Geneva Lakes Boat Show

Post by mattbyrne » Fri Aug 27, 2010 9:02 am

The 2010 Geneva Lakes Boat Show boat show is only 4 weeks away, September 24-26. If your're not familiar with the show it's held at the Abbey Resort in Fontana, WI on Geneva Lake.

Registrations are coming in at a record pace and the pre-show events are filling up fast. If you have not already registered, do so quickly so you don’t miss out. You can find details on the weekend’s events as well as registration instructions on the boat show web site at www.GenevaLakesBoatShow.com

We have some great boats coming to the show this year. For a complete list of boats registered for the show (some with photos), visit http://genevalakesboatshow.com/Entries.aspx

Get your reservations going for this one. The venerable Abbey Resort appears to be pretty full up for the event. Don't let this discourage you as there are plenty of other lodging options all around the lake. Whether you want a Bed and Breakfast, a condo, or a more conventional hotel/motel, there are plenty to choose from.

I know that the number of boat registrations is up considerably over last year, which was up significantly over prior years. The weather was absolutely perfect last year, so let's hope for the same this year.

If any of you need help finding a place to stay, feel free to contact me. Or you can try searching "Lodging Fontana, WI," "Lodging WIlliams Bay, WI," or Lodging Lake Geneva, WI."

Post by mattbyrne » Wed Sep 08, 2010 9:56 pm

Boat show update, if you would like to get a little taste of the Warner Auction coming up in October, come visit the Geneva Lakes Boat Show. Mecum will be bringing a boat to display and will be promoting the auction. The boat is a 1932 27' Chris-Craft Custom "Sugar Lady"

Sadly, no I won't be able to attend. I've done 3 shows this year, the most ever, and I sure have the bug for more. Very glad I got to last weekend's show in Bay Harbor, it was a beaut!
But Chad, if you want to get a bus load of folks down there, I'd hop aboard in a minute!

I'll be in tomorrow mid evening Chad. Will set up a small Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club booth for Saturday.

Chad - Thanks as always for sending us those great photos from Lake Geneva.

In particular, that sedan looks interesting and somewhat unusual.
