Beaufort, NC Paint & Varnish Symposium

Post by NCRangie » Tue Feb 28, 2012 10:06 am

Greetings Fellow Boat Fans,

I'm writing as a fellow Chris Craft fanatic to let ya'll know about an offering from the folks in Beaufort, NC - a two-day paint & varnish symposium, March 10-11. Restorer Gary Lowell will lead the discussion and offer hands-on guidance to participants in several areas related to the finishing of boats such as painting, varnishing, bleaching, staining, and more. Participants are encouraged to bring their own small projects or work on ones available at the museum. The idea is not to finish a whole boat, but to cover a variety of topics and projects.

The course will run from 9 AM to 4 PM each day, with a half hour for lunch. The cost is $95 per person, and enrollment is limited to 12 people. To sign up, or ask questions about the class, the number to call is 252.728.7317. Tell them you're calling about the "Painting & Varnishing Symposium".

I'll hope to see some fellow Boat Buzz readers there!

Fair winds,
J
