Sunnyland Antique Boat Festival

As you know by now, our Club is always well represented at the Sunnyland Show in Tavares, FL on Lake Dora. This year we are scheduling an official Membership Meeting. The Sunnyland crew is preparing space under the Big White Tent for us just after lunch on Saturday March 28th. We will begin the meeting at 1:30 PM but arrive a bit early and grab an after-lunch snack and a cold drink (beer, soda, water) and visit for a while before the meeting starts.

We'll open the meeting with introductions followed by some special presentations. After some announcements we will conduct an open forum for your questions, hopefully followed by good answers and general discussions. The only limit here is time; we must clear the tent by 3:30 at the very latest so the crew can set things up for the evening banquet and program.

If this Sunnyland event isn't on your calendar yet, what are you waiting for? It's the largest show of its kind, it marks the beginning of the 2015 boating season, it's in Sunny Florida, and there will be many Club members there. We expect to see many of you at the show, and at the meeting.

We extend our sincere apologies for the thunder storm that interrupted our Club gathering last year. What's the odds of that happening two years in a row? This year, bar any lightning, we'll meet rain or shine!

That rain was brutal, but at least it wasn't -5 degrees and snowing.

That sounds brutal, Matt! All the more excuse to go south in March.

In case you hadn't heard, the 1955 Chris-Craft Cobra is the Feature Boat at this year's show. Several of them will be at the Sunnyland Show celebrating their 60th birthday. Can't wait to see them.
