The OLDEST Sea Skiffs are turning 60 RIGHT NOW!

Happy boating season, Sea Skiffers!

For those of you with an interest in Sea Skiff history, the original 1954 22' Sea Skiffs are having 60th birthdays as we speak: my own DENBY (SK-22-169) was completed June 4, 1954 in Cadillac, Michigan (all the earliest 22's were built here; the prototypes were hand-built in Algonac). Happy birthday, DENBY!

Our friend and dauntless hero David Konick's notorious 22' Sea Skiff BUFFSTER (SK-22-155) had her 60th birthday on May 25th...any more '54's that are celebrating? BUFFSTER is getting refreshed brightwork to mark the occasion...

I just found another real old one on Craigslist: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/boa/4433596675.html

She's a '54 model 22' Sea Skiff in Pennsylvania; ironically she hails from Oshkosh on Lake Winnebago in WI; only 20 miles from my home!

Wishing you happy voyages!
