Removing bottom 56 capri can opener style
First Laurie removes all the screws in main frames, chine and keel, Then steve cuts a hole, starts the peel off , then attaches the chain fall. 15 minutes later , off the bottom comes. Tomorrow the bottom is cut up and disposed into the outdoor wood burner for free hot water heat that travels into the mile of pex tube embedded in the concrete floor of the shop. Try that with Tupperware.

Very nice!! I really like the shop as well. I need to find a place like that around here for the winter.

I believe these are the first photos ever where even a single spec of dirt could be seen on Steve's floor!

Thanks for the nice comments, some people come to the shop and ask where do I do the work? I say right here , we just keep the shop clean, must be a carry over from my working in Mold Making Tool Shops.
This boat pictured is from original owner and was last used decades ago, we could not even bring it into the shop until it was deloused. The animals used it as a toilet , we had to dissemble out side, cut holes in the bottom to drain the cleaning fluids. I literally bleached the bilge 3 times and cooked the boat in the sun for days to get rid of the smell.
The good news is the structure and planking on this boat is phenomenal and will be a excellent boat when restored for the first time. As a side note the boat had the original green linoleum floor and we are having the interior restored with the correct orange colored vinyl made by Paul from woodies .
