12V generator type nr.

Your old Chris-Craft electrical system can be a challenge. If it runs on "juice" pose your questions and offer your advice here.

12V generator type nr.

Post by SteveNL » Sun Feb 05, 2017 2:37 am

hi,

I want to change my 6V system in my 1957 SeaSkiff to a 12V system. The generator which is added currently is a autolite geo 4807-3 7L. Does anybody know which 12v generator fits, perhaps somebody knows a number of it?

Regards

you can purchase a "converted" 6 to 12 volt generator that way you stay original looking. Contact any of the suppliers on the forum like VannEss or finewoodboats. they can help. it's a simple swap and I believe the starter doesn't have to be modified.
