Pertronix ignition with 6V to 12V conversion

Post by bongocruiser » Fri Mar 10, 2017 3:18 pm

Hi all, I have a Model K with the IAY-4009 distributor and am using a Pertronix coil and points/condenser. I'm converting from 6V to 12V and I see they sell both a 6V and 12V product. Do I have to replace all the parts or can I still run the 6V parts on a 12V system?

You need to replace the Pertronix module and the coil.
