Removing starter

Hi guys,
Trying to remove starter, dissambled oil line, untighten 3 bolts which holds the starter. Problem; plug of oil line is holding starter on its position. anybody knows how to remove starter without removing plug?

What make/model engine? Why can't the plug be removed?

It is a 1957 k engine 95hp. Plug is very tighten and i am afraad i will brake thread...

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with that particular engine and without a photo I can't see the plug location in relationship to your starter. Hopefully one of the more experienced engine guys will chime in and offer some advice. Wait a little and if no replies try posting again under Engines and Powertrain. Good Luck!

Steve,
Is it the line in the middle of this photo behind the starter that you are concerned about ?
If you cannot clear it when the starter is unbolted then you will have to remove it.
Why are you concerned about damaging it ? It should just back out. I would be more concerned about putting it back in making sure not to cross thread it by starting it by hand.

remove the oil line, then use a 6 point box wrench on the fitting.
It should come right out.
I use liquid teflon sealer on the pipe threads when re installing.
don't over tighten the fitting,they are hard to find.
