Original Dash For 1939 CC 19ft. Barrelback
I am redoing my dash on my 1939 barrelback. If anyone can send me a picture of the original dash that would be wonderful. If not a picture information on where to find it would be appreciated. I am having the gauges and gauge plate redone as well. Was going to put 3 holes in middle of plate. One for the ignition switch in middle and navigation switches/knobs on either side. Thanks, Mark

If I remember correctly. Not all of the 39 6 hole panels had the switches on them. Some were mounted on the dash.

From what I've seen of the 19-BB's, only the first 70-or-so, that were built and delivered in 1938, with the one-piece covering board, had the switches IN the dash panel.
Those built in 1939-1940, with the two-piece covering boards, had the switches in the false glove box panel to starboard of the steering wheel.
Mark Clawson, Clawson Classic Instruments, may know the full story here?
This is #48510, the 11th hull.

This is #48641, 142nd hull, with 2-piece covering boards.
It shows the switches in the false glove panel, inline with the choke and starter button.
