Shunt for 283 1959 Continental

I do not recall removing a "shunt" when I started my restoration on my '59 Continental. Can someone with a '59 take a picture of the location and identification of the shunt? A picture is worth a thousand words!!!!

I'll try to help a bit. Your post in not very specific, but I'll assume you are talking about an electrical shunt. The only electrical shunt I am somewhat aware of is associated with the ammeter. Here is a post regarding such that might provide some helpful information: viewtopic.php?t=10368

The use of a shunt is dependent upon the type of gauge that you have for current (ammeter). If it is a true ammeter and measures current directly then you do not need a shunt and you have to limit your wiring through it to lower current devices (lights and accessories - not a horn it will just peg the meter every time).

If you have an ammeter that actually uses voltage then you need a current shunt which all the current runs through but you use the tap terminals to run to your meter which is actually a voltage that represents the current draw.

Someone could post a photo of their ammeter with the shunt but if you have a different meter then all bets are off.
