Stewart warner tachometer help

Post by rgmxk22 » Thu Jul 31, 2008 12:47 pm

Hi all,

I am hoping that someone out there can help me with this problem. I would like to install an older Stewart Warner tachometer in a project, but I am not sure how to wire it correctly.

I attached a couple photos, so you can see what I'm dealing with. I can figure out the light socket and the ground would probably just connect to the mounting bracket. But what I am not sure of is which terminal the 12 volts/ignition should go to and which the trigger wire from the negative side of the coil should go to.

So anyone with the same tach or even a wiring diagram, I should would appreciate the help.

Thanks,
Ron
