Spotlight controls help needed

Post by KentJ » Fri Mar 09, 2012 5:15 pm

I have a cable controlled spotlight, the type where you can push/pull/turn to direct the light. I don't have the control cable just the light. I have contacted IVAlight they said it wasn't their light but to send it to them and they would see what they could do. I have searched the net, not being able to find any cable of this type. Does anyone know of another source for this cable. (It looks like a old PTO control cable would work but not for the turning part. Thanks CCABC

Hi KentJ,

Might be easier to buy a new search light, Try Classic Boat Connections, i believe they are only a few hundred dollars....

I have one that only has the base and the controls, but I will have to see if the customer wants to part with it. I will check with him next week he is in Mt. Dora. Please remind me if I forget though.

It's likely too late for an answer, but I just fixed mine myself with a universal speedometer cable from the auto parts store. It can be cut to length and with a little ingenuity you can get it back together........
