One wire alternator

Post by drginseng » Fri Aug 22, 2014 10:31 am

I switched to one wire alternators with two Perko switches in my '62 Connie. Currently, the charge wire is at the starter post. Anyone care to chime in on how you're set up?

Did you run it through the ammeter shunt? I just installed voltmeters and disconnected the ammeters. They really don't tell you as much as a volt meter.

The voltmeter is connected to an circuit that is switched by the key switch. The logical place is the power to the oil pressure and temp guages. That's where mine are connected.
